What a life!

Yea, it's good alright!

Took some time today to just lay back and relax a bit in SL. I had nothing to do, no where to go, and no friends on to talk to; so I decided that some quality beach time was in order. I laid out, catching the pixel rays of sun that never seem to tan my white skin...and just relaxed.

I let a lot of things go, and started a few new ones as well with a re-invented self, and a new enthusiasm that I haven't felt for a very long time!

The ever evolving, ever confusing ToS Agreement

Just a quick not ehere of something that is quite annoying, and something that I personally feel should be explained at least from my point of view.

First off, I am not a lawyer by any means ( I can't stand to wear a tie) but everyone thinks they are at some point right? I want to bring attention to the issue of logging and sharing IM's.

Within the Community Standards part of the ToS we have a note on disclosure that covers conversations including IM's. This was taken directly from Second Life site:

  1. Disclosure

Residents are entitled to a reasonable level of privacy with regard to their Second Life experience. Sharing personal information about your fellow Residents without their consent -- including gender, religion, age, marital status, race, sexual preference, alternate account names, and real-world location beyond what is provided by them in their Resident profile -- is not allowed. Remotely monitoring conversations in Second Life, posting conversation logs, or sharing conversation logs without the participants' consent are all prohibited.
One must consent to having theor information shared or conversations released. Now according to this anyone can log conversations as much as they want, that is not the issue and is not against the ToS. The minute you take that log and share it, post it, or use it in any way other than personal use violates the ToS agreement. Conesent is not made simply because a person has listen in their profile that they log and release IM's. In fact people that add this to profiles because they think it releases them from ToS are making a mistake.

con·sent

   [kuhn-sent] Show IPA
verb (used without object)
1.
to permit, approve, or agree; comply or yield (often followed by to  or an infinitive): He consented to the proposal. We asked her permission, and she consented.
2.
Archaic . to agree in sentiment, opinion, etc.; be in harmony.

The definition itself. A verb mind you meaning that it requires some sort of action. That action is an agreement. If you IM a person it does not mean that you agree by their terms. It means you would like to talk with them. If they have in their profile that they log IM's and you do not wish to be logged....don't IM them (arguing ToS with people is completely useless, as everyone sees it differently). Consent must be asked and accepted, ex. "Is it alright if I log this conversation?" or "I log my IM's is that ok?". This still does not mean that those IM's can be released however. It is still against the ToS to release IM's without consent of the party. So you would also need to ask in the IM itself "Is it ok if I release this IM at some point?" The answer here had better be yes if you release it, if it is no you ahve violated ToS.

Just a note.

Happy Birthday Lucy!!

Wow!!!

I have to admit that I used to LOVE to watch I love Lucy when it was on T.V. (nick at night people I'm only 30!!!) The show was amazing and the comedy even more so. It makes you wonder what happened to T.V. between then and now. It has changed so dramatically over the years!

Thank you Lucille Ball for being such a wonderful part of our lives!!

If you are in the Inside-Out group be sure to look out for the freebie I love Lucy Tee that was sent out!

New gear- Viktorious Fight Gear

As some of you may know, I have been good friends with Dannyjiujitsu Zapatero for some time. He is the founder of the Fighter Brothers Group in SL.

For a long time the group housed men that liked to fight men, for the sport, the brotherhood, and of course the erotic side as well. In recent months the system that was used changed; and with it many of the members stopped fighting.

News has it currently that the "Old" HUD that was once used so much will be making a return, therefore re-ingiting the spark within the fight community and Fighter Brothers as well. In celebration of this, and of the FIghter Brothers group, Danny approached me about making some fight gear for the men.

Viktorious Fight Gear was born (with some great name and design help from Danny and Isaiah Slade). Fight shorts, and tanks are now being sold outside of the Fighter Brothers gym. This is currently the only place they can be found for sale. I have no plans currently of adding them to Inside-Out or Marketplace as in my eyes it is nearly a different business.

Anyway, you can find all of the items if you follow this SLURL.

Rezz Day!!

Well, It has been another year in SL. All I can say is that it has been a blast. There have been the ups and downs that come with the experience of this world; but even they cannot hold a candle to the positive I've experienced in this year.

I have accomplished a lot, I am proud to say. I never thought that the person I was when I first started would come to be the person that I am now. I find that I have my hands in so many different facets of SL now I hardly have time to take a piss, but I love it all!!

I want to give a big thank you to all of my friends in SL. Some of you are brand new and as such will soon seen what a pain in the ass I can be, but I am sure you will grow to love me. Others have returned from a long time away, and no matter what has changed between us we are still friends and will learn to grow on each other again. And still others have left to go their separate ways for one reason or another, and even though the breaks may have been more rugged than needed in the end, I send you nothing but positivity, love and well being.

Where will this new year lead me, who knows....what I am sure of is that I will greet it with open arms and cherish in the experience that it keeps in store for me, good or bad.

Rude People

OK, so is it just me or does SL seem to be an excuse for some people to be extremely rude?

Just the other day, I got an IM from a friend who told me that these people had teleported into her home and began walking around and using her objects.

Another friend tells me that two people popped in and began having sex on their bed!

Yes, there are security systems that can bar this sort of thing from happening, but seriously?? Some places, like apartments don't allow it, and some that do allow it can malfunction. Do we really need security though?? I mean if this were RL you wouldn't walk into someone's house and start eating their food or having sex would you?(and lemme tell you right now that if you answered "yes" to that you are seriously fucked up in the noggin!)

Shouldn't the code of ethics and respect for others personal property be regarded the same way in SL as it is in RL? Maybe we need an SL police force that can come and arrest the tresspasser and lock them in jail for a few hours or just ban then from the sim for a few days.

There has got to be some sort of retribution for people that choose to disrespect others in world, jsut like there is in RL.
